a 40k-70k sq ft store can average around 60k-80k in sales per day ( slow days 45k) and good days like Thanksgiving, Christmas around 200k in a day (is crazy busy)

supermarket make no money, they have slim margins: this is a myth, how you think a supermarket chain have over a thousand locations and 5-10 years ago less than 300 of them... in most of industries the average is 25-35% profits... Supermarket have good prices in some items and some make more than 500% profit. When you buy supermarket branded food ( rather than expensive brand names) they are usually the same, but big difference for the supermarket, they create their own sodas, chips, noodles, milk, boxes of this of that, you name it. This is mostly when they make the most money... A brand name could cost you $6.00 while their brand cost you less at $5.88, while the brand name they probably make less than a dollar or 40 cents, on their $5.88 item they are making 2 or 3 dollars... that's a big difference when they sell 20k a day on those items alone.

I would say supermarkets make at least 10k-25k dollars in a day, after paying all expenses like electricity, water, employees, and others...
