I believe a full time firefighter works twenty four hours a day. but then they get 48 hours off. For instance they go into work at 8:00 AM on the 1st of January, they come home at 8:00 AM January 2nd. But then they wouldn't go back into work until the 4th. So its twenty four hours on, 48 hours off. Im not sure about a part-time firefighter
