In the 'olden days' it was one of the measurements applied to spirits, it is the English imperial measuring system which is no longer used and is now standard metric I.e Litres. A fifth of Vodka is rounded to 750ml in commercial usage, but the actual unit is closer to 757ml.

It depends on the size of the bottle/container, if it is brand name vodka or not, and how good the vodka is (the best vodka in the world, the worst, etc.).
