How much does an eel cost?
The smallest is the tire track eel that grows about 6 inches,
and runs about 5-10 dollars. The peacock eel, it grows to about a
foot and costs about the same as the tire track eel. The last is
the fire eel, easily the prettiest of the three, which grows to
about 3 feet. The fire eel can be expensive, depending on it's
size. Around here, they sell for about 35.00 for a 8-10 inch eel.
If you can find a 4 to 6 inch eel, you may only pay 10 to 15.00 for
it. It's depending on it's type and size.
