ANSWER
I get paid 14 cents per paper per day. I average about 170 papers (driving route) per day, which adds up to about $650 a month. The down side is that 100+ bucks go towards paying for gas.
Another Answer...
My paper route pays me a flat $1,200 per month, that is 140 homes and approx 16 miles of route driving.. after I've set aside money to pay taxes (you will have to pay taxes as this is considered 'self-employment', I bring in about $250 per week... not enough to raise a family, but fine for a 22 year old living with roommates... sure beats working at Walmart. In addition you must pay for supplies ($10-20 per month) and gas ($80-120 per month). Learning to do your own maintenance work can also save you up to $1000 per year.
I usually get £6 from my local paper the reading midweek chronicle
but if u deliver a national paper eg the daily mail u can get £20
on an advertiser round you get about £5 for the papers and then an extra pound for each leaflet. so you could get £17 one week and £11 the next.
Well my brother got £60 for a week, but that was my sisters shop, go to your local paper shop and ask if they've got one available :)
Between £2.50-£20 per round. Depending on how many leaflets, how many subscribers and the newspapers rates. So it is a very varied job.
you can expect to be paid anything between £5 and £20 a week depending on how many papers you have to deliver. The average pay is usually around £12 a week delivering around 20 papers a day.
Far too many unknowns to give a definitive answer ! However - here in the UK, it's illegal for any child under thirteen to work.
Children between the ages of 13 and 16 are restricted as to the number of hours per week they can work - typically - less than 20 hours. The paper shop they work for will have their own rate of pay. The child may be paid on the number of days they work, or the number of papers they deliver.
Once a child turns 16, they come under the jurisdiction of (a) the working time directive and (b) the national minimum wage. - both of which are set in law.
there for my paper round i get £25 because my dad owns the shop and we are very rich for my pocket money every week i get £150
You don't make a lot. Not many communities currently have paperboys or papergirls. I haven't heard of one in a while. If you want to make some money, you could do odd jobs for neighbors, feed pets while people are gone, or sell jewelry and baked goods. If you're starting a paper-delivering company on your own, it's a lot more trouble than it's worth. Try getting a friend involved!
If you have a car, you can make up to $9 to $11 delivering newspapers. If you want to make more than the average delivery driver, consider adding your own flyers to the papers on your route. Sites like PayPoster.com will pay you commissions to distribute their flyers.
its like 10 cents per paper i think. i think it went up
Well my brother got £60 for a week, but that was my sisters shop, go to your local paper shop and ask if they've got one available :)
It depends on so many factors that we can't answer the question here. You would need to contact the newspaper in question and ask them what a reasonable expectation would be.
At 10 cents a paper and a 3000 papers a day, 6 days a week, your average paper carrier makes 1800 dollars a week. He usually works between 2-3 hours a week.
They don't make 1800 dollars a week or it would be adults who need jobs doing it, not schoolboys. They get paid not much, in the UK it is about £15 to £50 a week or something so probably between 30 and 100 dollars a week max.
the guy above me is wrong I have 5 routes and I make 600 a week you need to find a good company for some reason the newspaper delivery business is somewhat of an underground one. Honestly its really frustrating at first but if you keep with it within a month its EASY money, wake up at 5 work till 10 or 11 4 days a week and have the rest of the day and your week off. Look into ACI or AJC I got my foot in the door b/c of my girlfreinds parents giving them to me.
some routes pay per month like mine varies on the amount of flyers you insert into the paper and you get paid for delivering too.
It depends which area you work in and what you have to deliver that week, sometimes different items pay more. i just quit mine but earned at least $40 per week. I work with my mum and brother and the area I work is not so big so yea and we get like $60 - $100+ per week.
Answer
The paper routes these days are done by people from their cars over a larger area than the "paper boys" of days gone by had. It may possibly be different in smaller towns.
Depends on length, type and other considerations. Some driving routes can take 1-4 hours and pay between $5000-25000 per year. Walking routes normally pay less between $1000-5000 per year.
About £4 or maybe more.
