You shouldn't. Because of the way the FastPass+ system works at Disney World, you are far better off purchasing your tickets in advance and signing up for FastPass reservations ahead of time; if you purchase your ticket at the gate, you may be unable to take much advantage of the FastPass system, due to all the slots being already reserved by people who bought their tickets ahead of time.
