That's an almost impossible question, as there were so many landing craft in the first wave that got shot up or sunk. This was not a simple event, landing craft were lining up all day to land troops. Best I can say is over 130,000 troops actually made it off the beaches by the end of the first day, and some 20,000 paratroops landed successfully.
