Leg Press, Calf Raises, Squat, Jump Rope. C'mon man.
doing squats will definitely help and if your committed you might want to consider taking a squat challenge. just google it and you'll see
Dunking isn't all about height, Im 6ft 6 and i cant dunk but nate Robinson is 5 ft 9 and he can dunk over Shaquille O'neal. I depends on the power of your legs so the more power the heigher. If you do squats and lunges ect you will be able to do it.
At 58, dunking on a traditional ten foot net is a lofty goal, though still possible. An emphasis on power cleans would go a long way in improving the explosion vital for such a jump. Calf raises and squats may also be beneficial. Keep the weights low and the reps high to place emphasis on explosion as opposed to strength. Combine these exercises with simple leaping exercises (stand under the net and jump as high as you can a couple hundred times a day) could place this goal in your reach.
I recommend you buy strength shoes and use them as often as you can. By doing lunges, squats, frog jumps, wall jumps, and jump rope while wearing them. That should get you about 3 or 4 inches in a month.
