Believe in "Bloody Mary" or not, she did indeed exist and the moniker, "Bloody Mary" is not without historical merit. Mary Tudor, the first child born to King Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon seemed almost predestined to her fate. Mary's mother; the Spanish Catherine of Aragon's marriage to King Henry VIII was a political checkmate made by the English, anxious to secure their naval supremacy over Spain and Portugal. Not a love match by any standard the marriage displeased King Henry and the birth of a daughter in Mary did little to encourage (the King's) pleasure. The King was soon involved with his future second wife and mother of Queen Elizabeth I; Anne Boelyn and Mary was sent away from court. Later both she and her half-sister Elizabeth lived together as alternating captive/royal princess' depending on the kings will. Mary dealt with her uncertain station by retreating into her Roman Catholic faith in an increasingly hysterical state of morbid religiosity which did little to serve her ailing health.
Bloody Mary has a very unusual legend. There used to be a queen and she killed many many people in her lifetime and since she killed people they called her bloody Mary.
How many people did bloody Mary kill? How did bloody Mary die?Is she real?when we say bloody Mary 13 times what will she do or what will happen?
Because she killed so many people she got the nickname bloody mary
Bloody "mary" kill approx. 1052 people.
Many believe the drink was later dubbed a Bloody Mary after Queen Mary Tudor and her particularly bloody reign over England in the 16th century. However, a 1934 ad, noted by Esquire, states that entertainer George Jessel named the drink after a friend, Mary Geraghty. She was the first-ever Queen of England to rule in her own right, but to her critics, Mary I of England has long been known only as “Bloody Mary.” This unfortunate nickname was thanks to her persecution of Protestant heretics, whom she burned at the stake in the hundreds
Yes, because she had so many people be-headed and executed....
Bloody Mary because she had so many people killed.
well many people say that is true, but it is not. i have tryed bloody Mary myself and nothing happened. my friends said to me that when they tryed it she scratched her so hard. my friend said that bloody Mary only hurts the people that are really good in life. i don't really know but many people say that if you try bloody Mary on Friday or Saturday or Sunday nights at 12.00pm she gets you real bad!!!!!!
Bloody Mary lived in the mirror
Because she burnt many people at the stake because they were protestant.
During her reign, she tried to abolish the New Church of England established by her father Henry VIII and reestablish the Catholic church. She then branded all Protestants as heretics and with permission from the Pope, proceeded to burn and kill nearly 300 such heretics. This earned her the reputation of Bloody Mary.and that is why the legend goes on abot "Bloody Mary."
Mary 1 of England known as "Bloody Mary" did not drown people in their own blood. She never personally harmed anyone. She was not known as "Bloody Mary" in her own lifetime but was given the title many years after her death by Protestant writers angry at her persecution of Protestant traitors who were executed on her orders.
