At how many hands is a horse considered a horse?
Hands are how you measure horses. Each hand is 4 inches. So, if
your horse is 60 inches tall, 58'' divided by 4'' is 14.2 hh (Hands
High) if your horse was 59'' he would be 14.3hh. But, if he was
60'', he would be 15hh, because there can only be up to .3 hh, and
after that it goes to the next number, since there is 4 inches in
each hand.
Horses must be over 14.2hh, because under 14.2hh is a pony
(except for a few exceptions). So, there will be at least 14.2
hands in a horse. But there is no maximum height for a horse.
Depends how big your horse is, like us horses are all different
in size.
