There is an estimated 8 million 'small arms' made per year (that is just hand guns), global reports on all "guns" are not listed by number of arms but are instead listed in Billions of dollars in value.
The USA is the worlds largest provider of guns, at 70.15% worth around 30 Billion dollars per year, 63% of these exports were delivered to 'developing countries.' Please note the figures given, and the links below, are for exported firearms only and do not include domestic figures.
...Though many anti gun activists and 'articles' have stated there are easily more guns than people in the United States alone. This appears to be a fairly good gauge to measure the ratio of guns to people who could make use of them.
I would point out that the popular gun known as the "AK-47" has been produced in numbers estimated between seventy-five to one hundred million units, and this is only one of hundreds of known gun models.
Given there are such numbers of these weapons, and many have been produced since the beginning of the 20th century, it would be next to impossible to accurately predict how many actually exist, albeit those even usable.
When you bring up statistics you normally want to use them to prove a point or to elicit some reaction or knowledge gaining experience for someone. I would quickly point to the idea that guns are merely a conduit for a powerful and deadly kinetically based weapon of mass destruction. The bullet. Of which there are untold billions in every caliber you could dream of. I would not want to personally know the answer to how many bullets there are to human beings, it would be too depressing...
2111667 people die every year by guns
Approximately 15,000-19,000 people are injured each year in the United States due to accidental or unintentional shootings involving their own guns.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 22,000 people are treated in hospital emergency rooms for injuries related to BB guns and pellet guns each year in the United States.
There is no specific data on the number of people killed by staple guns each year. However, injuries from staple guns are more common than fatalities and can range from minor to severe depending on the circumstances. It is important to always follow safety guidelines when using staple guns to prevent accidents.
According to FBI data, over 6,000 criminals are killed by guns each year in the United States. This number includes incidents where law enforcement officers were involved in the shootings.
10 million + worldwide
Millions upon millions every year
they get over 10 guns a year.
1917
around the 17 hundreds :) It depends on what guns you are referring to. Guns were first invented in the 1300s.
For SOME guns, yes. There are not records for all guns.
1976 is the last year for Miroku made Daly guns. From 1976 on the guns have been built in Spain,Italy and now Turkey.!976 is a year that you may find a Daly from Japan or Spain. Both good guns but I prefer the Miroku
World wide, no accurate data available. In the US, most current records are for 2009. In that year, 5,403,714 firearms were made by licensed manufacturers. A small but unknown number of guns were made by private citizens for their own use (perfectly legal, by the way)
The US Navy has made purchases from Browning many times throughout its history.
over 9000
the last guns made in America according to my data was 1975-1976.
Need serial number to give the correct year. Auto 5 shotguns were never made in Utah. Browning stamped guns with the city that was their Headquarters as a rule. Morgan Utah was HQ for The Browning Arms Company for many years. They started to Stamp A5 Barrels with that address in 1969. The guns were made in both Belgium and Japan during these years. Belgian guns with Morgan Utah were made from 1969-1976 Japanese guns with Morgan Utah 1976-1998
