Since cups measure volume and grams measure mass it will depend on the density of what is being measured. It is different for flour vs. sugar, for example. This converter allows you to specify ingredients- http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/cookingconversions.asp?Action=find 450g of what? If its liquid, it's a little less than 2 cups.

Grams is a measure of mass and cups is a measure of volume, so it depends on the specific substance you're measuring. 450 grams of water is about 1 3/4 cups but 450 grams of flour is about 3 1/2 cups.

There are 4 cups in 450g. - This last statement by whoever is incorrect and because of that my bread flopped. :(

The correct answer is 3.2 cups.

Cups are a measure of volume, and grams are a measure of mass. Without knowing the density of the material being measured, you can't convert one to the other.
