Approximately 1500 (say give or take 50) 1965 Chevrolet Belair 4 door sedans and 1965 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedans (4 door pillar less hardtops) were assembled by General Motors - Holden in Australia during 1965. These vehicles were assembled from imported CKD (Completely Knocked Down Kits) from Canada.
Australia also received a small number (probably fewer than a 50) 1965 RHD Chevrolet's that were exported to Australia as fully built cars.
The export market for RHD Chevrolet's around the world however included many other countries. Some these of countries assembled CKD kits as was the case in Australia.
By comparison with North America LHD production the RHD cars would have only represented a small percentage and while I have spent a lifetime researching this subject I have never been able to get even a close estimate as what the world wide production might have been.
It is an interesting subject nevertheless and if anyone has any further information then I would welcome your email.
