Organisms can be helped by camouflage to hide them and blends them into their natural surroundings, this helps them as predators of that particular organism, cant see them so its harder to hunt them down and eat them :)

If they animal is a carnivore, camouflage helps it stay undetected by its prey, however, if it is a prey, camouflaging helps the animal to stay undetected by the predator.
Animals need camouflage in order to hide from their predators. For example: Hen Pheasants are brown so when they are nesting in the tall brown grass they are harder for hunters and predators to see.
It can hide them from their enemies (that is the ones higher on the food chain).
The most important reason why animals camouflage is to hide from a predator.

IT helps animals hide from their predators. A caterpillar is green to blend in with the leaves surrounding it and stick insects look like sticks. Tigers have stripes to blend in with the tall grasses in their habitat. For the prey, camouflage is a way to hide from the predator, and for the predator, camouflage helps them hide from their prey before they attack. A strange example of using camouflage are zebras. They use it to camouflage with each other. The predator cannot single out one zebra and usually gives up on trying to pounce on on. So as you can see, mimicry and camouflage help animals survive in many different ways. Hope this helps!

They are camouflaged to make it harder to be spotted by their prey!

Additionally it makes it harder to be caught by another predator and so they blend in with their territory.

An organism that can camouflage itself is less likely to be eaten by predators, and thus have more offspring/pass on its DNA.

So the prey can hide from predators and the predators can sneak up on the prey unnoticed.

it allows that organism to hide from it's prey and it also makes it easier for them to hunt their prey since they will never see them coming so it's kind of like a surprise attack.

when they camouflage, their predators will not notice them, so they will not eat them.

It helps the predator to hide so it can catch it's prey and it helps prey to hide from a predator so it isn't caught.
