There are many reasons not to drink alcohol, especially as a teenager. Some of these are;
* Alcohol damages your brain development so you can't live up to your full intellectual potential.
* Having alcohol when you have been told not to creates a barrier of dishonesty between you and your family.
* Receiving and drinking alcohol if you are underage can get you fined or in prison for a short period of time.
* Our bodies are lighter and we have smaller livers that can be damaged much more easily. Drinking alcohol in large quantities at a time will cause serious damage to your liver, and possibly death.
* It can change your emotions in ways that may cause you to lose friends and cause them to dislike you.
* Developing an alcohol addiction will affect your entire future in unpleasant ways.
* Girls drinking alcohol have increased chances of getting raped.
The only risks that pose on a teenager from drinking alcohol would be drunkedness. Alcohol doesn't necessarily pose a threat unless you overdrink, such as binge drinking, or unnoticably drink alot. Alcohol can cause drunkedness, the only symptons physically recognized from overdrinking. Teenagers can risk injury or even death when drinking alot of alcohol near areas of danger, such as vehicles, streets, elevated heights, people, or even the simple household table.
Teens should avoid alcohol use for a number of reasons. Health risks a re good reason to wait until older to drink. Teens are still developing and alcohol is a poison that can adversely effect the body's ability to grow properly. Large amounts of alcohol can cause toxicity levels high enough to cause immediate stomach pain leading to vomiting, diarrhea, and unconsciousness. Extreme cases can kill person pretty easily.
Other reasons can be cultural, religious, or personal. Whether or not one wants to listen to authority shouldn't stop them from making good choices. Read up, talk to others and learn how to handle it first.
The teen drinking is very dangerous for the developing mind and body of the young person - alcohol may have long-lasting effects on intellectual capabilities and may increase the likelihood of alcohol addiction, also there is a risk of later alcohol dependence. Drinking teen drivers are twice as likely to be involved in a fatal crash as the others drinking drivers. High school students who drink are twice as likely to have seriously considered attempting suicide, as compared to nondrinkers. Adolescents who drink are more likely to engage in risky sexual activities.
Any abuse of alcohol is bad for anyone, including teenagers.

It can have negative legal consequences. However, consuming alcohol in moderation has never been proven to have negative health consequences for teenagers.
Teenagers are most susceptible to making poor decisions. If they are around sources of substance abuse, they are more likely to drink it than any other age group. It's best to keep all alcohol locked away from them, even if they don't display desire for it.
It's not bad for teenagers to watch, it just has a lot of death in it.
