Put a fuse in the circuit labeled "FWD" under the hood on the passenger side.
disconnect negative for a few hours either that or it'll turn off itself within 100 miles if the problem is fixed
There is a small switch above steering wheel which turns parking sidelights on. It's easily knocked on but hard to see!
Don't buy a full time 4x4. This just means you cant turn 4 wheel drive off. Go with AWD if possible. some suggestions would be an Subaru outback, and most crossovers.
Turn it counter-clockwise until it comes off. It is connected to the leather boot by a pressure clip. A little tug should remove it from the boot, but be gentle.
there is a toggle switch right on top of the steering column right behind the steering wheel. it will have a lights picture on it. simply toggle it on and off. should take care of that.
AnswerFor the First Generation Murano there are 2 AWD lights, one that says AWD and one that says AWD LOCK. if the AWD Light is on, Then you have a Problem in the AWD System, if the AWD LOCK light is on, then your AWD is stuck on on, or you just have to turn it off.
The best Subaru deals can actually be made on the official Subaru website, subaru.com. They even have the new 2011 Impreza starting off at $17,495 as well as a Legacy 2011 going for $19,995. Both of which come with 1.9% financing.
I have run into the same thing with this kind of car. On the steering column at the top they have a switch that will turn the running lights on or turn them off. check the switch you may have hit it and turn it on.
Smartrak is a awd system and can't be turned on and off. The computer senses slipage and engages the front axle as need for awd.
