How do you scare off a mountain lion?

To scare a coyote, all you need to do is stomp at it, and kick dirt at it. The coyote will usually run away. Another way is to throw a rock at it, or swing something around. (My friend used binoculars) The LAST thing you should do is shoot it, save the bullets for something else, like a wolf or bear.
