Hi, In German, the term for Grandma

is Oma, pronounced. "oh-mah". Grandpa is "Opa". Grossmutter is "grandmother" and "Grossvater" is grandfather. My grandmother made us speak German to her or she would ignore us. I learned at a very early age.

Gross Mutter Grossmutter is grandmother. Urgrossmutter is great-grandmother. Great-great-grandmother is Ururgrossmutter. (the double s in Gross should always be spelled with a ß - Großmutter)
