How do you restart the pokewalker on Pokemon SoulSilver?

You can restart the Pokéwalker by resetting it to its factory settings, in order to do this, select "Connect to Pokéwalker" and then hold down the Down on the D-Pad as well as the X and L buttons at the same time, you will be prompted to delete the file and once you've confirmed the selection, it will go back to as it was while it was packaged with Pokémon HeartGold however any Pokémon in the Pokéwalker will be returned back to their original game save file so if the original file doesn't exist then the Pokémon in question will be lost.

press up, select, then press the B button
(like how you delete other pkmn games)While on the title screen, press and hold B + Select + Up together. The game will ask you if you are sure you want to delete your file. Select "yes" and then your file will be deleted. Then you can choose "New Game" in the menu, and you'll be able to save that file.

Once you put all your Pokemon and items you got back in your PC (heart gold and soul silver) it will reset for you unless a Pokemon joins you once you put the Pokemon and items you got back into your PC.

On the start screen, simply press new game and then save. The next time you continue the game, it will be from there, as it has overwritten the previous save file.
