On the bottom edge of the casing surrounding the lock there is a small button. With the combination set to the current "open" numbers, depress the button with the end of a pen or something similar. It should "click" and stay depressed. Now turn the combination settings to a new number YOU WILL REMEMBER. Next, pull on the release button. The button will snap back out and the numbers you have set the combination to will now be the ones that open the lock.

The Samsonite Aeris suitcase does not come with a standard lock and key. You must use a code to open it with. The code usually comes with the suitcase when it is purchased.
