Drain coolant Remove 4 bolts that secure fan and pulley on water pump Remove Belts Slide fan and pulley off water pump shaft Loosen and remove bolts securing water pump Remove coolant hoses if required Remove water pump Clean engine surface before installing new pump and gasket ya what he said......lol
first thing that you do is tame off the timing belt cover. then you remove the timing belt. there are two components on the engine that are driven by the timing belt the lower one is the oil pump the upper one is the water pump then you locate and remove the bolts for the water pump. pull the water pump off then replace with new water pump and gasket.
You need to take off the old water pump. You need to loosen or remove anything that gets in the way of removing the water pump. Once the pump is off, you need to clean the surface of the engine of all dibri so you can apply a gasket sealer. Apply the gasket and water pump. Replace all other parts that were moved.
Drain the radiator. Remove the water pump belt. Take off the fan shroud, then the unbolt the fan. Unbolt the water pump and remove. use new gaskets and gasket sealer to install the new pump.
To change the water pump simply remove the bolts from the waterpump, pull it off and replace with new. The power steering pump will need to be loosened and moved aside to remove one bolt. Clean old gasket from engine block and replace with new gasket and replace with new waterpump.
for my 99 camaro, i had to find it first, then i took the belt off, then i took the bolts off and got a razor, and scraped the old water pump gasket off the water pump, then i put silicone gasket maker on my water gasket and put that on the water pump that is attatched to your engine, then i put silicone gasket maker on the new water pump and then i stuck that on the other half of the water pump and bolted it back on, lol i figuered it out by myself and im 16 and that is the first time i worked on my car, hoped that helped
Remove the top half of the fan schroud. Remove the serpentine belt. Remove hoses. Stuff rag in hoses to keep radiator fluid in. Keep drain pan under car to catch coolant from pump. Do this over a grassy area. Wash down after done. Remove all bolts holding fan. Remove pump bolts. Remove pump. Clean off old gasket. Put gasket sealer on new pump. Put new gasket on pump. Put gasket sealer where pump connects to engine. Install new pump. Tighten bolts on pump clockwise evenly. Reverse order to reassemble. Check pump for leaks. Remove the top half of the fan schroud. First, take off the belt by loosening the power steering pump or belt tensioner. take off the four fan clutch bolts in the water pump pulley. drain the radiator. remove the lower coolant hose and the hose that goes back to the heater core. there should be four bolts in the water pump. after removing water pump, make sure all old gasket material is removed before installing new pump and gasket. use 3M yellow gasket glue.
You will need to drain the water from your cooling system. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. The water pump will come off.
To remove the water pump from a 1987 Chevy Celebrity: 1. Using a suitable container drain the coolant to a point below the water pump. 2. Release the tension on the serpentine belt. Remove the belt from the water pump pulley and position the belt away from the water pump. 3. Using a proper puller remove the pulley from the water pump. 4. Remove the bolts from the water pump. The water pump should pull off at this point To reinstall a new pump: 1. Clean the old gasket off the water pump mount point. 2. Using a new gasket and any sealer desired bolt the new pump in place. 3. Using the install tool press the pulley on the new pump. 4. Put the serpentine belt back in place. 5. Refill with coolant. Check for leaks
remove the belt with a belt tool or 3/8 ratchet take the 4 bolts off the pulley for the water pump with a 10mm socket , then you have to remove the 5 or 6 bolts behind the pulley pull out the old water pump and gasket, locate the notch on the old water pump and install the new one in the same place and your done.
Raise the car and support on jack stands Unbolt the dipstick from the waterpump. Unbolt the water inlet from the pump then remove the pipe and gasket Remove all the water pump bolts except the top one. Let the car down. Remove the top bolt. take it off.
