1. Remove the glove box. Pull the glove box out as far as it will go. Push the stop under the globe box and it will pull out all the way.
2. Reach up thru the glove box opening and remove the five nuts that hold the trim panel on at that point. Take note of everything you remove, you will ultimately need to put it all back in place.
3. Pull the ashtray out and then remove the screws that hold the ashtray rack in place and remove the rack. You may have to take the noise panel on the bottom of the dash off.

5. There is a release button on the headlight switch knob , press it and remove the knob from the shaft.
6. Carefully unscrew the nut that is around the headlight switch shaft to remove it.
7. The trim panel is now held in by tabs on each end that enter into the metal dash.
Carefully flex the panel out in the middle so that the end tabs pull out of place. The plastic is old and may be brittle so be careful not to break it.
8. The trim panel should be completely loose by now. If the car has a rear window defroster reach behind the trim panel and remove the wire harness from the switch.
9. The trim panel should be free now, simply work it out from the steering column and put it out of the way.
10. Three screws hold the radio in place, remove them and pull the radio out far enough to unplug the wire harness and antenna wire. Pull the radio out.
