if a year is a multiple of four, then it is a leap year, except for every 100 years. 2100 will not be a leap year for some weird scientifical reason. but every four hundred years, it will be a leap year.
e/i: 2400 will be a leap year.
just to make sure you have the right idea, 2016, 2020, 2024, etc. will all be leap years along with the next four years after each preceeding year until 2100, then the next leap year will be in 2104.
If the year number is divisible by 4, then it is a leap year, like 1996, 2004, 2008, 2012.
The year 2000 is special. If the year is divisible by 100 (last two digits are 00) then it is only a leap year if also divisible by 1000. So, the year 2000 is a leap year, but not 1800, 1900, 2100, etc. Hope this helps.
Divide the year no. by 4. like 2012/4. If there is no remainder then the year is leap year otherwise not
A year is a leap year if it is evenly divisible by 4, unless it is evenly divisible by 100, in which case it is a leap year only if it is evenly divisible by 400.
Examples:
2012: evenly divisible by 4, not evenly divisible by 100 --> leap year
2014: not evenly divisible by 4 --> not a leap year
1900: evenly divisible by 4, evenly divisible by 100, NOT evenly divisible by 400 --> not a leap year
2000: evenly divisible by 4, evenly divisible by 100, evenly divisible by 400 --> leap year
no,the next leap year is 2012!No, it is not a leap year.
No. Start of all centuries thogh divisible by 4 are not leap year.
well al it takes is just a leap year don't get it..? what i'm telling you is that the leap year dragon is just another name for as we all know ''leap year'' so its just a name
If i stand corrected the answer is 7(seven). as we all know a leap year is a year with a 29 in febuary. :)
there is how the heck should i know in a leap year
There are 4 years between every leap year. Correction: There are 4 years between MOST leap years. That's the case 99.25% of the time. For the other 0.75% of the time, there are 8 years between leap years.
Unlike a normal year a leap year is 366 days, due to the fact that a year is actually 365.25 days in a normal year so every time a year goes by it adds up, for example 365.25 adds to 365.50 then 365.75 then finally 366 then it repeats. During a leap year, February has 29 days instead of 28.
Oh, dude, it's simple! A year has 365 days, except for leap years which have 366 days. Leap years occur every four years, so you can just remember that and impress your friends with your random calendar knowledge. Or you could just Google it, like, whatever works for you.
3080 will be a leap year.
1776 was a leap year
If you define a "year" as the average length of a year including all leap years, an average year would be (365+365+365 +366)/4 = 365.25 days long and a non-leap-year would be 365/365.25 = 0.999316 of an average year.
No. If the year number can be divided by four then it's a leap year. 2012=Leap year.
