Remove all spark plugs. Rotate engine by hand until the number one spark plug, (Passenger Side Front) is at TDC, (Top Dead Center) on the compression stroke. You can tell when it is at TDC by placing a long screwdriver in the plug hole against the top of the piston and feel when it is at the top. Go very slowly!! Once you have the piston at TDC on the compression stroke the rotor will be pointing at the # 1 plug location on the distributor cap. Rotor turns counterclockwise.
