Near the firewall drivers side is the transmission fill tube this has a dip stick in it. printed on the stick are instructions how to check. usually trans. hot (if the engine is hot the Trans. will be hot too.) and in neutral park will register higher than actually is. If @ add usually 1 pint (1/2 QT).
You need to check the transmission computer for codes to know possible causes.

no Chrysler product transmission changes are controlled by the passing gear linkage hooked onto the throttle if it is slipping pretty much shot
Could be a wheel bearing The trans fluid is checked by the dipstick.....look straight down beside the brake fluid reservoir and you will see a red dipstick Pull it out and check the fluid

In the power steering pump located on the front right side of the engine. It will have a pulley on it
There is no reset for a check gauges light. If the light is on, there is a problem either with the temperature oil pressure or voltage.
Either loose bands or low fluid or bad fluid. Also could be a clutch problem.
