A sea anemone can breed either sexually, where it regurgitates either eggs or sperm (or packets of both, depended on the species) into the water column, or it can reproduce asexually, where it either buds off tiny replicas of itself, or more dramatically, stretches itself in two directions until it grows into two equal-sized clones.

well they will lay them in like a year or two but it can take like 50 years for a female to hatch it... well i dissagree about taking 50 years to hacth or lay the babies the maximun life span of a sea monkey is 2 years or 2 years and 5 months but thats if you keep your sea monkies very very healthy no one really knows when the sea monkey lay the eggs it can take diffrent times because what i found over the internet was it takes 72 hours others say three weeks and some say they may even take the sea monkies whole life for them to lay the eggs so people seeking the answer all you have to do is wait it takes time for the female to lay the eggs so i hope this helps

They are suspended in "time capsules" as eggs, and only hatch in the right conditions.

Here are steps to take care of your sea monkeys:

1) Fill your sea monkey tank with BOTTLED WATER and add Step 1: Water Purifier. Stir this carefully until most of the crystals are gone and then WAIT 24 HOURS before adding eggs.

2) When exactly 24 hours have passed, add Step 2: Instant Live Eggs. These truly are not instant unless you have the perfect conditions, such as having a 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit room. Most sea monkeys take 1-7 days to hatch, yet most hatch between 1-3 days. DO NOT THROW AWAY THE WATER if you do not see sea monkeys right away. They may take a while to hatch. I almost threw mine away, and the next day, just before they were down the sink, I saw little babies! What a miracle. Now, thanks to patience, they are alive and well.

3) After 5 days since Step 2 was poured into the tank, feed the sea monkeys Step 3: Growth Food. NEVER EVER USE THE LARGE SPOON unless you are adding plasma III (which is added 10 days after you add Step 2). Use the SMALL SPOON TO FEED YOUR SEA MONKEYS STEP 3 and most sea monkey owners say to only feed your sea monkeys once a week.

Keep up the hard work and your 'monks' will last for years!

The male will give the female a 'piggy-back' for a few days or weeks and soon there will be a sack of eggs on the female.
