Well, if it is anything like my 96 SC2 you can get to the speakers through the trunk. You may want to post what kind of car it is.

I used a pair of snips and cut the plastic screws from inside the trunk then pulled up from the inside and slipped the speakers out but, I don't think the covers come off.the speaker covers on a 95 sc2 are not removable. you have to remove the entire rear deck cover i just popped mine off with a screwdriver.it worked just fine.
