They sometimes live in a big grup or just with a couple more otters with them.The only time they would be alone is when some one hunts them because even at zoos they are not alone.

Sea otters enjoy company and often travel and live in large groups. Sometimes there are hundreds of them. They will wander off by themselves, but they are known to form groups both small and large.

Sea otters actually do swim alone in case breakfast, lunch, or dinner passes by and they won't have to fight over the meal, but sea otters do sleep in groups wrapped in seaweed, so they won't float away.

Sea Lions are very social and live in groups, however, they may travel in groups or they may travel alone. They rest together at haul-out sites or float together on the ocean's surface. They travel great distances for food, but females with pups stay closer to the rookery.
