泣く (naku) is the Japanese verb 'to cry'. To turn this into want to cry, you simply use the stem of the verb which is 'naki' and add '~tai'. After this, you end up with 'nakitai'.

Because 'nakitai' is an adjective now, it's seen as impolite to use it on its own when talking to superiors, so if you're going to say this to anyone above you, just add 'desu' onto the end. I'd probably just use 'nakitai desu'.

If you simply want to say 'I want to cry', you'd say something like:

(私は)泣きたいです。

(watashi wa) nakitai desu.

1) 涙ながらの満月 (namida nagara no man getsu) is something very poetic :), literally means 'in-tears full moon'.

If you simply don't want to say 'full moon' you can say :

3)涙ながらの月 (namida nagara no tsuki) : (lit) 'in-tears moon'

4)泣いたいる月 (naiteiru tsuki) is also another way, but it uses the verb 'naku' meaning 'to cry', and would literally mean 'the moon that's crying', but of course it does mean the weeping/crying moon'.

Of course you can use naiteiru with mangetsu too.

Should you want to say 'half moon' you can replace tsuki with 半月 (hangetsu).
