According to Wikipedia, the Hauora is a Maori philosophy of health and well being unique to New Zealand.There are four dimensions of Hauora; Taha Tinana(Physical Wellbeing - health), Taha Hinengaro (Mental & Emotional wellbeing - self-confidence), Taha Whanau (Social Wellbeing - self-esteem) and Taha Wairua (Spiritual wellbeing - personal beliefs) There is physical, emotional/mental, social and spiritual caring.
instead of treating an illness, as in orthodox allopathy, holistic medicine looks at an individual's overall physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing before recommending treatment.
Between physical, spiritual and emotional pain, the one I think is the most painful is emotional. The reason why is because emotional scars never heal. Physical scars can heal and you may not always be aware of the spiritual side of things, so in essence you may not feel anything.
