I had an ultrasound when I was around 5 weeks pregnant. Dont worry...we didnt see a fetus either... just the yolk sac and gestational sac. The fetus is still literally to small to see most likely. U will just go back to the doctors in a few weeks and you will see ur little one. I went back at 9 weeks and he looked like a little baby. It was incredible!!! Good luck and CONGRATS!!!
Similar thing has happened to me, i thought i was 8 weeks and the scan showed and sac but it put me at 5 weeks, the tech told me it my not be a viable pregnancy!
I was told to see my Doctor asap and have some blood taken to see what your hormone levels are doing, you'll need more blood take in a few days, if the levels are going up - its a good thing, if they are going down - it's a bad thing!
The doctor also told me not to worry if it is supposed to be it will be if not there is nothing you can do!
I'm still waiting on my test results, I've had no cramping or red bleeding, but i have been spotting (brown to pink) for 10 days!
At 34 weeks, the fetus is roughly 18inches (45cm) from top to toe
About 3 months, usually respiratory system of the baby develops at 12 weeks of age. ** The fetus's heart starts beating at five weeks gestation. Through an ultrasound you can see the ultrasound at about 6-7 weeks. With a fetal Doppler you can hear the heart beat at about 9 weeks.
You shouldn't be big at all. At five weeks pregnant you have just developed an embryo. An ultrasound typically will not even be able to detect a heartbeat yet.
when your five months pregnant how many weeks are you? when your five months pregnant how many weeks are you?
In March I was 10 weeks pregnant and was spotting very lightly. I went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound. They told me that at 10 weeks they should be able to at least see the heart beating even though it might be too soon to see the baby. When they did the ultrasound all they saw was the sac. There was no heartbeat. I had a full miscarriage a few days later. It was determined by blood tests that I had miscarried about five weeks prior and was just now discharging the fetus. I pray that this is not the situation for you, and you have a healthy baby!
The baby's heart begins to beat at about five weeks after your last menstrual period, or three weeks after conception. It can be visualized with an ultrasound, but not heard with a Doppler until later in the pregnancy.
You can usually see the sac on ultrasound at five weeks. It may be six weeks until you can see an embryo. A pap smear can't tell if you're pregnant; it's a screening test for cervical cancer and precancerous changes on the cervix.
It would be crazy to see any heartbeat at five weeks.
Pregnancy is calculated from your last LMP, rather than the date of conception. So, if your last period was 7 weeks ago, you are 7 weeks pregnant. You actually conceived 5 weeks ago, around day 14 of your cycle.
Yes. The ultrasound at five weeks will show the yolk sac. The fetus may or may not be visible yet as a small tube shape. By seven to eight weeks, the scan will show a little triangular shape embryo with the body cavities visible, and a beating heart.
maybe it's a sign of carrying multiples...check with the doctor, ask for an ultrasound scan to rule out any uncertainties
From just over 5 weeks, see the associated website I had my first u/s done at less than five weeks I was probably 4.4 weeks, but all I showed was the yolk sac and the sac....no fetal pole or baby. == an internal ultrasound can detect a pregnancy much sooner than an external ultrasound, even if all it detects is a yolk sac.....there would not be a yolk sac if you were not pregnant.
