Yes, all SSRI's have increased bleeding as a side effect. This may include excessive bruising, vaginal bleeding, GI bleeding. This is caused by the platelets who can't do their work properly because of the inhibition of the reuptake of serotonin into the platelet ( platelets need serotonin to function properly) Platelet dysfunction returns to normal after discontinuing the SSRI.
