As per a previous question I answered, heavy metal does help plant growth. If you ever watched episode 23 of Mythbusters then you would know that there were noticeable differences in plant growth - especially for the plants that listened to heavy metal. Which in this case they "listened" to death metal music (which is undoubtedly one of the heaviest forms of music on Earth) and reportedly, they grew best despite some technical problems. Just think of the rainforest, there are a lot of fauna which means more noise and this means, more plant growth. It's quite possible.
Research shows that it CAN kill a plant. It won't do it overnight, though. It will stunt its growth, first, then kill it after a few weeks. So, if you like heavy metal (and you like your plants, too) - don't play it around your plants!!! (Find out about research on its effect on you, too.. search & read about "microwaving" eggs with heavy metal music at concerts.. what about your brain?..)
Really? According to the Mythbusters, Metal actually stimulates a plant's growth.
in my personal expierience plants do not react well with rock music, they perfer more sensual meaningful music such as Ludacris and Puff Daddy. so if you are trying to give your plants that extra boost just throw in some luda!!! I WANNA LICK LICK LICK LICK YOU FROM THE HEAD TO YOUR TOES I WANNA MOVE FROM THE BED DOWN ONTO THE FLOOR I WANNA AHH AHH I MAKE IT SO GOOD I DONT WANNA LEAVE I WANNA KNOWW WHAT ISS YOR FANTASY!! your plant is now sproutingg!!!
There are a number of theories about this.
Basically I'd say that it is more because of the frequency/ or frequencies that the plants respond to - perhaps at a cellular level.
In nature there is no band or orchistra playing to the plants, and they have been able to evolve quite happily for th past 300 million years with out any music.

plants like country music better so YES.
No because light and water makes plants grow. (You need to go back to 1st grade)
it has been proven that plants grow better in a room with classical music playing than heavy music like death metal. for this reason i have no idea, but i listen to metal and im not dead. so who cares :D
Actually Myth Busters conducted an experiment on this kind of question. They set up some green houses with these types of recordings: -nothing -positive talk -negative talk -classical music -death metal music It turns out that plants grow better when listening to music, specifically metal music. Classical came in second. And positive and negative talk came in third. Not having any recordings came in last. So it's better to play music for them.
Probably not. A 2007 study in South Korea in rice fields showed that sounds at 125Hz and 250Hz made genes rbcS and Ald, that are known to respond to light, more active whereas sound waves at 50HZ made these genes less active. Latin music tends to be really active. If it is soft then maybe. Studies confirm that plants prefer classical music like "Moonlight Sonata"
There is no scientific evidence to suggest that music specifically helps spider plants grow. Spider plants primarily require sufficient light, water, and proper care to thrive. While some studies suggest that music can have positive effects on plant growth in general, its impact on spider plants specifically is not well-established.
greek gods thought that it would help there plants grow but now its just used for music
No plants want grow if they don't have sunlight at all.

plants like country music better so YES.

no
i think it does not help plants grow because i really don't know
Plants' growth is unaffected by music. Check sunlight, water and soil conditions
support help the plants to grow as plants like creepers don't have a strong stem which could help them to stand straight thus any type of support will help the plants
