Prozac or fluoxetine can cause drowsiness, feeling of being tired, trouble concentrating, fainting, feeling of weakness, and being unable to coordinate or recall memories. Some of these resolve as your body gets used to the drug but these side effects may also be occuring because you are taking a high dose. Speak to your pharmacist or doctor on a more personalized medical advice and what you can do to decrease the incidence of these side effects.

Actually, Prozac is generally known as one of the more activating antidepressants. Unfortunately, sometimes this has the effect of disturbing sleep, causing excessive daytime sleepiness, but generally people report having more energy as compared to other antidepressants.

Not exactly, people all handle depression differently. Some people, to make them feel better, might overdose on drugs, or go and buy a lot of items to try and fill that hole in them, but what they really need is Jesus, because He can break every chain, every bondage, He can fill that hole, and He can set you free.

In my experience, Prozac "revs" me up a little, giving me a little more energy. I took 20 mg daily for low-grade depression, occasionally skipping a day.
