edited by another user to add: Yes, but only if you go through a program such as an online school or charter that offers that. It's not free really, but it is no cost to the student/parent. The laptop is paid for through funding from the dept of education for that child that every school gets paid per child. Its the same the situation of some charters/online schools offer stipends towards certain vendors and let you pick your curriculum, or the school chooses curriculum you can pick from and uses those funds themselves for buying stuff for the students.
