It can go either way. I know some places use this gel to numb it but other places don't. If you are worried they won't numb it then you can do it yourself using ice and it may only lessen the pain. It all depends where you live and where you go.

No, but they do put freezing gel on the piering end of the needle which works instantly. Note: If you live in America it is illegal to use any type of anesthetic (in most states) without the proper training and degree. That said, pain is fleeting and if you really like the piercing the small amount of pain is well worth it.

No. I have spiderbites and they didnt numb it either time, nor have any of my friends had theirs numbed. Besides the piercing itself doesn't hurt. You'll feel a prick. The after math of the piercing really depends on what you got it pierced with.. I got my first one done with a hoop and it was swollen and VERY painful. When I got my second one done I used a stud and there was no swelling or pain at all.

Depends on what you are having pierced, all i know is they dont numb your tongue. I have just had my belly button pierced (navel) and they numbed it for me and it didnt really hurt, you could just feel a little pinch. Mine cost me £30 and i got to choose from a range of belly bars. The piercer told me i could not change it for at least 4 months. He told me that doing gym will not affect your belly peircing/navel. And also that you can go swimming, and that the chlorine does not interfere with it or any bubble baths. He said its perfectly ok to go swimming straight after but after you must pat dry with a tissue and apply the cleaning stuff and again pat dry. (also applies after having a bath or shower) You must use the cleaning stuff twice a day

Professional body piercers are not allow to use injection anesthetic (that's the only thing that would work for that piercing, but causes issues for the piercing placement). The piercing is only a brief few moments of discomfort, so just getter done. Creams and such also cause issues for the placement of the piercing because the bloat the tissue. It's simple and done by a professional even better.

No, most piercing places do not have anesthetics on hand. If you talk to your doctor ahead of time, they might be able to set something up with you though.

No, alcohol prep pads that don't say numbing, do not numb when getting pierced or tattooed. You can request to be numbed before a piercing or tattoo with numbing cream, or numbing alcohol prep pads.

Do they numb your lip before you get your lip pierced?

Nope. They just pierce it. Anything they could use to numb your lip would cause it to swell up, making it hard to pierce you accurately. Besides, it doesn't hurt very much.

Can you numb your nipples before getting them pierced?

You can certainly ice them before hand if you like, but you will have to get them pretty numb for you to not feel much of anything. It's the best bit of advice that I can give you unless you just so happen to have some topical Lidocaine laying around the house somewhere or something to the effect.
