i believe so but sometime u do not want to force them to eat it but i think they do like bread. I think that u have to give them a certain type of bread but u don't want to always give them it cuz then if u keep giving them it they will get used to it and when u stop their not going to be able to find food on their own, AND THEY WILL DIE. U could feed the once in a while but not all the time.
I have cared for two wild mute swans for about 5 years now and feed them JJ's sweet feed. It's a blend of grains, wheat and corn that is actually a horse and cattle feed. A 50# bag at the local Agway store is just $10 and they eat about 5# a day at most so the cost is very minimal. Just $1 a day for such a great pleasure! The river is almost totally frozen over and as they need water, I break holes in the ice and put the food in and around the hole. They can reach down almost 3 feet with their long necks.
I have heard that you can feed them lettuce but these two don't like it. They get bread (whole wheat!) too but only as a treat once a week!
none. do not feed them bread.
yes they can but on small fishes
Swans feed almost entirely on underwater vegetation. However, in winter they sometimes also eat grass or grains.
no bread
Nope - they're vegetarians. They feed on pond weed, algae and grasses.
you can feed a baby duck with bread and fish.
This is because swans feed mostly on underwater vegitation, so they live near the water in order to have a food source.

They are larger, more powerful, havier and less aerodynamic than other waterfowl.
