Hawks have better eyesight than just about any animal on earth. If a red-tailed hawk was soaring over an MLB game, it could see everyone in the stands and the players' faces, and the stitches on the ball as it was pitched. Hawks have amazing sight.

Hawks have some of the best eyesight in the bird world. It helps the bird locate it's prey from a great distance, which can be a distinct advantage for species that hunt sometimes in open areas. It has been estimated that the Harris hawk can see a rabbit on the ground from as much as two miles away!

The quote "they have eyes like a hawk" is like that for a reason. Hawks can see a mouse all the way from 100 ft in the air!
