Do female gerbils have periods

Gerbils go into heat ever 4 day. There are no outward signs that they are in heat, unless a male is in the tank (in which the male will attempt to mate with her)

Probably not, but you never know. Gerbils do have periods, though, as I had a female and she bled.

Female gerbils come into estrus (heat) every 4 -6 days (this is the time they will be fertile and receptive to a male).
