It is currently against the law for dog and cat meat to be served in the United States, but some restaurants are petitioning to change the law in favor of allowing dog to be served.

However, if you do not wish to eat dog meat, there is no reason to be alarmed. Dog-meat is far more expensive than beef, lamb, chicken, and pork, so there is no reason for an Asian restaurant owner to put dog in any dish that is not advertised as such.
