Where is the low pressure switch on a 2005 international 9400i series?

The low pressure switch on a 2005 International 9400i series is typically located on the air conditioning system's accumulator or receiver-drier. It is responsible for monitoring the pressure of the refrigerant in the system and can shut off the compressor to prevent damage in case of low pressure. Look for a sensor with wiring attached near the accumulator to find the low pressure switch.

What types of trucks does McLane trucking use?

Freightliner Columbia (most likely phased out by now) Freightliner Cascadia International ProStar International 9200i (these are probably phased out by now) International 9400i (likewise probably phased out) International 9800i (definitely phased out) Volvo VNL series Kenworth W900L (probably a flagship or show truck)

What is the Gross Weight on a 2005 International 9400I Truck Tractor?

The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating is determined by the weight rating of the chassis and the axles. A typical road tractor will have drive axles rated at 40k (total) and a steer axle rated between 12 and 13k. Weight rating and legal weight limit under the bridge law are not one in the same, keep in mind.

What is the fuel mileage for international semi trucks?

The standard answer is 6mpg, but the real answer is "it depends on a lot of things."Two days ago I hooked up to a load of Budweiser and pulled it through some really hilly terrain with an International 9400i. I got 6.2mpg. After I got rid of that I went to another place, loaded with a ton of molded styrofoam--it filled a 53-foot trailer--and got 9.7mpg over the same terrain. And once I pulled a load of car tires from Atlanta to Dallas--a fairly flat route--and got 11.8mpg. This is a truck with an automatic transmission, economy gears in the rear end and a 435-hp engine. If I had a 9-speed manual, hill gears or a smaller engine I'd get worse mileage. You're thinking, "don't you mean bigger engine?" Nope--a smaller engine would have to struggle more to get up the hills, and when you stress one of these engines it responds by sucking down diesel. The current fuel mileage champion gets over 11mpg ALL the time, and he's got a 600-horse engine. He barely has to crack the throttle on that thing to make it move.

What does sba means in international 9400i sba truck?

Well, isn't that a lovely question! In the world of trucks, "SBA" stands for Set-Back Axle, which means the front axle is positioned farther back from the bumper. This design allows for better maneuverability and a tighter turning radius, making it easier to navigate through different roads and spaces. Just like painting a happy little tree, understanding these little details can help us appreciate the beauty and functionality of these machines.

What types of semis are used in ice road truckers?

All sorts. I've caught episodes of various seasons. Carlysle Trucking uses Kenworth T800s and W900Ls. In other seasons, I've seen several other brands. Hugh's own trucks were two Freightliner FLD120s and an International 9400i Eagle in the first season. In the second season, where they were driving over the ocean, most of the trucks appear to be Peterbilt 378s. A number of dump trucks were also shown on there... I recognized some RD model Macks. I remember seeing at least one Volvo on the first season.

How do you change air bags on cab of an International model 9400i?

if it were a ProStar, or many other different makes and model of truck, I could tell you. Unfortunately, you picked one that I haven't ever had to make that repair to. So I'm making a call based on what an image result for "International 9400i cab airbag" turned up.First, you need that cab raised - ideally, somewhat higher than what the cab raises up to on its own. If there's a crossmember that'll allow you to raise it with a bottle jack, that's a good way to do it - use a piece of angle iron to distribute the weight if you have to push up on the exterior sheet metal at the rear of the cab, or a board if you're pushing up on the floor. Or, you can air it up. If you have one leaking cab air bag, you can pinch off the air line to it and let the other air bag do all the lifting, and you can adjust the ride height by manipulating the leveling valve, then you change one airbag at a time, pinching off the air line to each one you're changing as you change it. From what the image result returned, the air lines connect at the bottom of the airbag. Disconnect them - it'll be a simple push in fitting - you push the air line and fitting in, and, while keeping the fitting pushed in, pull the air line out. Now, that air bag will be secured somehow at the bottom... how, I don't know.. it might be bolts, in which case, you simply unbolt them. Or it might be a locking tab which you can pop off with a screwdriver. Or possibly a snap ring, which I recommend a set of snap ring pliers for. Once you have that disconnected, the airbag threads at the top into a stud protruding from the cab - simply unscrew it, screw the new one, and installation will be the opposite of removal. Feel free to email me at the address in my bio page if you have further questions pertaining to this.
