Yes, there appears to have been a First National Bank of Norton, Virginia. I am an attorney representing an estate in which there is a $10.00 bill issued approximately 1902 and on the face of the bill it has "First National Bank of Norton, Virginia". I am assuming that in those days all the local national banks must have been distributed money with their name on the face of it.
