Yes, there appears to have been a First National Bank of Norton, Virginia. I am an attorney representing an estate in which there is a $10.00 bill issued approximately 1902 and on the face of the bill it has "First National Bank of Norton, Virginia". I am assuming that in those days all the local national banks must have been distributed money with their name on the face of it. There is a place for the President of the Bank and another officer to sign. If anyone knows the value of such, I would like to know. My telephone # is 1-276-386-6116, daytime.
