Yes they did. 12 men walked on the moon in total in 6 Apollo Missions designed to land on the moon. Despite what idiotic conspiracy theorists say, the Apollo missions did go ahead as the history books describe. We know this for certain as all the claims of a hoax that conspiracy theorists continually cite, can easily be explained as rubbish by anyone with even an elementary science education. What is more, experiments that were left on the moon continued to send data back to earth until very recently. One experiment is still in progress where an earth-bound laser is reflected off a mirror left on the surface by the Apollo astronauts and the distance from the earth to the moon accurately recorded. Some conspiracy theorists will claim all sorts of stupid theories, but whenever the laser experiment is mentioned they always go quiet... and refuse to even try to explain this irrefutrable proof that the missions went ahead just as NASA had planned.
The reason some people think there were no moon landings is that they are poorly educated about it. To make matters worse, there are those who fake up phony-baloney books and DVDs to sell. People who would not be caught dead reading a science book, can and will buy some drool that says no one went.
Others like to pretend it didn't happen because it gives them a phony sense of being "cool", "rebellious", "ahead of everyone else". It never seems to occur to them that there is no way some McJob refugee could know more about Apollo than the 400,000 who worked on it, and that 400,000 people couldn't possibly keep a secret for 40 years.
There are web pages that explain, simply, the things that people are getting wrong. These sites will help you understand what really happened. I am posting three links for you.
yes, they really landed on the moon back in July 1969, and it is too expensive to go back .
The technology and personnel who did it were gotten rid of by President Nixon, who wanted no reminders of this highly successful Democrat-sponsored program. He even went so far as to rename Cape Kennedy, "Cape Canaveral". The last Moon-ready Apollo capsule was deliberately used up on a stupid PR stunt called Apollo-Soyuz. All the capsules after that were not designed to go to the Moon, just into low orbit. I am posting some links below that might help you understand what it is that the hoaxbuffs aren't understanding.
Yes the Americans really did land and walk on the moon.
Depends on there weight.... If they are really light they will most likely float.
No, the moon has no atmosphere.
Then he would not be famous for being the first to walk on the moon. Someone else would be.
Neil Armstrong was part of the Apollo 8 Mission into space. This mission sent 2 people on the moon; Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldren. Neil Amrstrong was the first American on the moon. In fact, he was also the first man on the moon.
