Verizon Wireless does not use SIM cards unless it is a world phone. Only carriers that use GSM technology use SIM cards. Verizon Wireless uses CDMA technology. Since the phone uses different wave lengths and different technology, this can not be done.

No. The only Verizon Wireless phones that use SIM cards are Global Phones. SIM cards are only used for the GSM technology. Verizon Wireless runs off of the CDMA technology. So... if you switch the SIM card, the phone still won't work because it has nothing to do with the CDMA and that's what Verizon Wireless works off of. HOWEVER, you can activate a Verizon Wireless phone on an existing account by dialing *228 pressing SEND then choosing option 3.
