I had two liter bottles of Bourbon and I bought some bubble wrap at an office store and wrapped each bottle in the wrap and taped it to secure it. Then I put each bottle in a 2-gallon ziploc, then put each of those in another 2-gallon ziploc, so I had two "double bags". Then I put them both in the middle of my luggage wrapped in clothes so they wouldn't hit each other in transit.
Just be careful. :)

Yes, but only if the percentage of alcohol by volume is 70% (140 proof) or less - above this is considered a flammable liquid. Many countries restrict Alcoholic Beverages in checked luggage to 5 litres if they are 24-70% alcohol by volume.

Alcohol less than 70% by volume can also be taken as hand luggage but only if the container is 100ml or smaller.

Only if you've bought it at the tax-free shop where it has been propely checked and sealed. You are not allowed to open it during your flight. Customs require you can only carry a certain amount (check the regulations of the country you're flying to)
