Checked luggage yes.
Check out liquor-luggage. Liquor-Luggage is a new company in 2009. They make travel cases for alcohol and wine. They are very cost effective and reuseable.
Their web site is the same as their name Liquor-Luggage.
Yes.
I had two liter bottles of Bourbon and I bought some bubble wrap at an office store and wrapped each bottle in the wrap and taped it to secure it. Then I put each bottle in a 2-gallon ziploc, then put each of those in another 2-gallon ziploc, so I had two "double bags". Then I put them both in the middle of my luggage wrapped in clothes so they wouldn't hit each other in transit.
Just be careful. :)
Yes, but only if the percentage of alcohol by volume is 70% (140 proof) or less - above this is considered a flammable liquid. Many countries restrict Alcoholic Beverages in checked luggage to 5 litres if they are 24-70% alcohol by volume.
Alcohol less than 70% by volume can also be taken as hand luggage but only if the container is 100ml or smaller.

No, Lufthansa has complimentary drinks and alcohol for all passengers and all classes.
Typically alcohol is allowed in checked baggage as long as it is below a certain proof. I believe anything over 120 proof is not allowed.
So long as you are not crossing international borders, you can carry alcohol in checked baggage anyway you like. You are better off wrapping the alcohol in bubble wrap or some other protectant.
As long as it is not 'loaded'.
You cannot carry-on an axe, but you can in your checked baggage.
Only in checked baggage; you cannot have them in a carry-on.
