Yes. most dealerships allow you to buy a car with a credit card, However, Usually financing is a better way to go because the interest rate is usually much much lower, Also on your credit report it will show that as an amount on a credit card. If you hjave an auto loan for 20,000.00 that looks much better than a credit card with a 20,000.00 balance.

It depends on the dealer which sell you the car. I once paid $2000.00 down payment for my car with my visa.

But you need to understand if you couldn't pay the payment by the due date to your bank..are you ready to pay 19% on your credit card?? I think it's not a wise decision to buy a car with your credit card. The only time when you may want to do so is:

1. when you have a cash back credit card.

2. when you have the ability to pay the amount charged by the due date.

3. when you are sure that the amount you are charging on your credit card is not higher than the amount.. if you were paying in cash. In other words, you don't want to pay $11,000 for a car which would have cost you $9000 if you had paid in cash. In that case it would be a good idea to borrow against your line of credit at 5% or finance the car at 5% (but pay the bargained price).
