Not without the aid of a breathing apparatus. Mar's atmosphere is nearly 96 % carbon dioxide.

Humans cannot breathe on Mars. The atmosphere is thin and made almost entirely of carbon dioxide, a poisonous gas.

Without being encapsulated with an oxygen supply? If you did it wouldn't be long before you were not breathing at all.

The atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide (what we breathe out), and very tiny amounts of oxygen (what we breathe in). So air there does not have what we need, to breathe it successfully, but that's not the entire problem. Mars is also very cold. In fact you'd freeze to death before realizing that you were suffocating.

No you could not breath the air on Mars, first the atmosphere is very thin (it is at a very low pressure 0.6 kPa, compared to Earth's 101.3 kPa) and second the atmosphere contains no oxygen.

The atmosphere on Mars consists of 95% carbon dioxide, 3% nitrogen, 1.6% argon. The atmosphere is also quite dusty, giving the Martian sky a tawny color when seen from the surface.

It's not possible to breathe on Mars without a spacesuit because the atmosphere is mostly carbon dioxide with extremely low levels of oxygen. Without proper equipment, it would be fatal to breathe the Martian atmosphere.

Depends on what you mean by breathe.

You could make your lungs move, but there's neither enough pressure or oxygen to sustain human life. It's very cold too.

No, it is not. It's like on the moon and outer space. There is not enough oxygen to breath on Mars. (It would be possible to breath if you had a sufficient space suit, though.

No, you would have to make an enclosed greenhouse with plants in it to create the Oxygen needed to live.

Can humans breathe on Mars?

Humans cannot breathe on Mars because it has a thin atmosphere composed mostly of carbon dioxide. To survive on Mars, humans would need to wear spacesuits equipped with oxygen supplies.

What kind of atmosphere is in Mars?

mars is red BECAUSE of its super weak and bad atmosphere. so you could hardly breathe HARDLY.

Where does water exist on mars is the water ice liquid or gas?

the water is frozen; Mars's minimal atmosphere is not enough to breathe or keep it warm.

if other live forms existed, how would they breathe and what air would they need to survive?

I think they would breathe with carbon dioxide and would live on mars.

Would a human suffocate on Mars?

Yes humans will suffocat on Mars. Human depend on Oxygen to breathe and without oxygen, we will die. Oxygen is present in th Earth's atmosphere and it is not on Mars. To survive on Mars, we need to use an astronaut's suit with oxygen support.

What would you wear on a trip to mars?

A spacesuit/spaceman outfit with a helmet that supplies air so that you can breathe

Can you breath on Mars with no helmet?

No, it is not possible to breathe on Mars without a helmet. Mars has a very thin atmosphere that is mostly carbon dioxide, with very low levels of oxygen. Without proper life support systems, including a helmet with a supply of breathable air, it would not be safe to breathe on Mars.

Is cyanobacteria live in mars?

Well. Cyanobacteria were the first life forms on Earth that did not require oxygen to breathe. I think there is probably life on Mars. But I don't really know for sure. But if there is life on Mars, it probably would be microscopic as cyanobacteria.

What gasses would an alien on Mars breathe?

An alien on Mars would likely breathe primarily carbon dioxide, which makes up about 95% of the Martian atmosphere. However, the extremely low atmospheric pressure on Mars would make it difficult for an Earth-based organism to survive without specialized equipment.
