Sulphur soap is indicated I would advise against it as borax is a skin irritant. If just a teaspoon is swallowed by a child, it will kill them. If they are lucky, then it would simply leave them with their skin peeling off. You do not want this stuff to absorb through the skin and into the bloodstream (which it does). If I had scabies I would use borax but I would be sure to wash it off after just a couple of minutes. Don't soak in it.
Try quell lotion for scabies. It's available over the counter at your local pharmacy. Elimite is another product that works. Good luck.
This is an extreme solution, But if all else fails try this. Take a very hot bath or shower. When you get out imediately douse yourself all over with alcohol. After a few of these showers you'll start seeing a differences. Yes it hurts, but its better than months of Itching. Have you ever heard of the seven year itch?
You can bathe with borax soap, but it won't kill the lice. Use an effective lice medication.
Borax and borax substitutes, are not necessarily scabies exterminators. Scabies are tiny mites. As the question provides for a borax bath, it will be the hot water and anything that breaks water surface tension (borax in this case) — allowing the mites to drown or perish in hot water. There are very few germs and/or bacteria that can survive hot water, soap, and a scrubbing brush. Soap bars, hot water with temperatures higher than "hand hot" along with cleaning implements such as brushes, cloths, et al, are all that is needed to keep the home clean. Bleach and other harsh chemicals should be used very sparingly.
Borax is not typically recommended for treating scabies or killing scabies eggs. It is best to use prescription medication from a healthcare provider to effectively treat scabies and eliminate the eggs.
Boric acid and borax are not the same ingredient, so they may not have the same effect in treating scabies. It's recommended to follow medical advice for treating scabies rather than experimenting with alternative remedies. Borax has been used in some cases, but it's best to consult a healthcare professional for the most effective treatment.
Would you believe borax? It is mined in the American west.
Don't know the answer
No. Toads cant bathe. the soap would irritate their skin.
The borax soap is an antiseptic soap. Also it is recommended for sensitive skin, dry skin and the treatment of seborrhea or acnea. The typical composition is: palm oil (it is possible to use another similar oil), borax, glycerine, perfume.
Boraxo is a brand of hand soap that contains borax as an ingredient. Borax, on the other hand, is a naturally occurring mineral often used for cleaning purposes. While both contain borax, they are not exactly the same product.
Yes you can bathe a goat with cat soap, but it depends what type of goat it is. Like if its allergic to what's inside a cat soap. Otherwise its OK.
Ammonia is more basic than borax soap. Ammonia is a strong alkaline compound with a pH of around 11-12, while borax soap is a mild alkaline cleaning agent with a pH around 8-9.
Borax soap can be safe for skin when used in appropriate quantities and concentrations. However, some individuals may be sensitive or allergic to borax, so it's important to do a patch test before using it on a larger area of skin. If you have sensitive skin, it's best to consult with a dermatologist before using borax soap.
