You shouldn't. I have a treefrog at home and he LOVES to eat crickets, so try feeding it that. Or feed it mealworms or waxworms as treats.
P.S. for the crickets, my frog is smaller so I feed him pinhead crickets which are smaller than regular crickets. If your frog is bigger, get it regular crickets
