Legally, a resident alien, or even a nonresident alien, can buy a house. Getting a mortgage should also not be a problem. Mortgage lenders are more interested in work history and income than in citizenship. If you are constantly bopping in and out of the country, the mortgage lender may justifiably be concerned that you may leave and not pay off the mortgage. But as long as you have a stable local work history you're fine.
Never gave that one a thought, being an Urban Man. John Lennon resided at an Apartment House, albeit a very old and historic one, the Dakota. If they engaged in an occupation directly taking up real estate- for example Farming, there might be some problems with the USDA. Foodstuffs are certainly imported- like Bananas, but that is entirely different than the potential labor and food chain problems alien-owned farmsteads might pose. an excellent question. In some part of the Country- and this was long after the Civil War- people who lived or worked on farms ( probably exceptions for such things as tractor salesmen or repairmen) were Legally barred from changing jobs, unless they went into the Armed Forces. Down on the Farm can acquire a heavy burden. This is not quite the S trade, but very close.

If you mean a legal resident alien, yes. If you mean a legal resident of Arizona, yes. If you mean a legal resident of another state- THAT depends on which gun. You may purchase a rifle or shotgun from a dealer in any state (unless you reside in CA) but you may only purchase a handgun in your home state.
i bet it is a resident card for forenigners
An alien is not illegal as long as she/he has documentation of status. An alien who is documented to be a permanent resident is not illegal. If the alien does not have and never has had documentation of an immigration status, then that person is an illegal alien.
A non-permanent resident alien is an individual that holds employment in the United States. They are not a citizen and they do not have a green card.
